Lithium Batteries

Have you ever been watching television and the remote suddenly stopped working? We know the frustration when your battery runs out of power and there’s nothing you can do. Or your camera suddenly ran out of power as the batteries in it drained. Or your clock stopped working. We all know the hassle of buying new pair of AAA batteries when the old one’s run out. Every time the battery drains you have to go buy a new pair from the market. It’s quite a hassle as you spend your money again and again.

The simple solution to this problem is buying Lithium Batteries along with a charger. The simple solution to this problem is buying Lithium Batteries along with a charger. lithium ion battery or li-ion battery (LIB) is a rechargeable battery. It is a primary?battery?with metallic?lithium?acting as an anode. These kinds of?batteries?are also named as?“lithium-metal?batteries”. These?batteries have high charge density which means they have longer life and also quite expensive per unit.

If lithium ion batteries are compared with conventional batteries, then Li-ion batteries are much faster and last longer. If one knows about the working of this battery, these batteries can be your best option.

Lithium batteries are used in portable consumer electronic devices and in radio controlled toys. They are made from Lithium polymer. These batteries have high charge density or a long life. Lithium batteries have quite slow discharge rate as compared to nickel based batteries. They can be charged repeatedly whenever they are drained. They are ecofriendly too, meaning they are nontoxic. Like all AAA batteries their output voltage is 1.5 volts.

Lithium batteries also have their limitations. They are expensive to manufacture compared to other batteries. Some countries restrict them in airplanes due to danger of them catching fire. In airplanes the weight limit is 8 grams, meaning you can’t carry lithium batteries exceeding 8 grams. Large quantities are restricted to be transported. Lithium batteries are also subject to aging.

Chargers

These lithium batteries require a specific charger in order to recharge them. The charger is specifically made for Lithium Polymer batteries. The charger can house from 2 batteries up to 8 batteries. This explains that it can charge multiple batteries simultaneously. These chargers are quite portable and can fit in your bag easily. They can have different housing spaces, different charging speeds, etc. The chargers can be directly plugged easily into a wall socket and be ready to charge batteries.

As stated before, all chargers have different charging speeds. The charging speeds vary in terms of amperes. The speed ranges 300mA, 500mA, 700mA, 1000mA, and finally 2A. The battery will charge more fastly if its ampere range of charging is high. Charging speeds is a key differentiating factor between different chargers.

What is the best charger for rechargeable batteries?

All rechargeable batteries require recharging quite often. It’s quite a hassle picking out chargers as there are so many on the market right now. All of them have their pros and cons. Some are budget friendly, some have faster charging speeds, some have more features and finally some can charge bulk batteries. So after researching many chargers, we have come up with the overall best in terms of speed, design, portability, etc.

Zanflare C4 LCD Display Speedy Universal Battery Charger

We have chosen Zanflare C4 as the best recharger as it stands out from the rest in terms of distinctive features. The main defining feature is the LCD that displays vital information of each cell at the press of a button. The LCD displays voltage, current, time and capacity at the press of a button. Each cell has its own display. It also has a multi charge option in which you can choose different modes of charging. These modes correspond to different charging speed as 300mA, 500mA, 700mA and finally 1000mA. Four different slots can be simultaneously charged by using four different modes.

It has the capability to charge different battery sizes such as (Li-ion IMR INR ICR 10340 10350 10440 12340 12500 12650 13450 13500 13650 14350 14500 14650 16340 16500 17350 17355 17650 17670 18350 18500 18650 22650 25500 26500 26650 A, AA, AAA, SC sizes). Whenever the battery is fully charged the charger automatically stops and the ‘END’ symbol starts to flash on the LCD. This feature prevents overcharging that may cause the battery to be damaged. This overcharging protection features lacs in other chargers, while Zanflare C4 delivers.

The charger can directly be plugged into the wall while being a bit large in size. It also comes with a car adapter so you can conveniently charge your batteries on the move. Another additional perk is that a USB output can serve as a power bank using the rechargeable batteries to charge other devices. This is one differentiating feature that the other chargers lac.

How do I charge rechargeable batteries?

Specific chargers are available on the market that are designed to charge these rechargeable batteries. These chargers can house from two to four batteries. These batteries are placed inside the charger by observing the correct polarity of the battery. After placing them inside the charger, the charger is directly plugged into a wall socket. The batteries start charginginstantly. Some chargers display the percentage of the battery charged. Some chargers automatically stop charging when the batteries are fully charged. These features differ from model to model but the basic rule of charging is same.
