The 18650 batteries come in different capacitances and features. So the first step you should make is studying the type of battery that your device requires very closely. Note down the continuous discharging rate which is also referred to as the amperage capacity.
The continuous discharge rate is very important to consider because it is the rate at which current can be drawn from the battery without causing it to overheat.
