Why does your Dell laptop say no battery present?

Dell is one of the top leading companies in the manufacture of gadgets such as laptops and computers in the world, and some consumers have had displeasure with the pop-up issue of no battery present. Below are the probable causes to this problem;

1.The battery is placed Incorrectly.  This may require you to shut down the laptop and place the battery correctly.

2.This may also be because of the battery aging thus cannot hold a charge. In this case, there is a need to replace the battery with a new one.

3.The charging circuit may have an error resulting in the system not seeing the battery.

4.Battery connectors are either damaged or corroded. This results in poor connection; hence the damaged parts need to be replaced.

5.Overheating of the battery. High environmental temperatures, poor ventilation, and extremely low temperatures may cause overheating. The low temperatures lead to thermal sensors’ failure to monitor the battery condition or state. The overheating problem is solved by ensuring the battery is back to a reasonable temperature ranging from 12-29 degrees Celsius.  Afterward, reset the battery.

6.The battery is a non-dell. Dell has a reputation for installing sensors in their batteries, and if a battery that is non- dell is replaced in a laptop might not be detected. This may cause the laptop to display an error code. This is to restrict users from purchasing dell manufactured batteries. The battery may still function in running the laptop but will not display the correct time remaining for the battery and statistics for the percentage.
